Cheeseburger and Bacon Quiche
Salt and pepper
1/4 teaspoon (1.25 mls) garlic powder
1/2 cup (120 mls) heavy cream
1/2 cup (120 mls) mayonnaise
8 ounces (224 gms) shredded cheddar or Swiss cheese
1 small chopped onion (2 1/2 ounces or 70 gms)
4 slices chopped up bacon
1 pound (450 gms) beef, ground
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
In pan on stovetop, brown bacon and onion, then drain grease and season with salt and pepper. Spread mix onto pie plate that has been greased. Mix in the rest of the ingredients including just 1/3 of the cheese. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese over the mixture. Bake 35 minutes. Cut after letting sit for 15 minutes. If knife inserted in center after 35 minutes of cooking does not come out clean, cook a few minutes longer.
